SINGING INTO THE WINND

SINGING INTO THE WIND

 Karen Lewis

CHORUS

I've been singing into the wind

Writing on shifting sand.

Got a whole lotta words want to pour out from me

Never to be heard again.

I'm singing into the wind

Writing on shifting sand.

Nothing is indelible.

Here, then gone again.

V1

Mountain jays keep hiding nuts

They cannot find to claim.

Sand crab has to sweep the sand

From his burrow after every wave.

And all the work to build a nest

Is nothing I would crave.

When wind and rains come pounding

Nothing will remain.

CHORUS

We're all singing into the wind

Writing on shifting sand.

Got a whole lotta words want to pour out from me

Never to be heard again.

I'm singing into the wind

Writing on shifting sand.

Nothing is indelible

Here, then gone again.

V2

Takes a lot of rain to raise

The level of the sea.

Takes a lot of time to grow

The tall sequoia tree.

And though the lyric tune I play

Is only a soft melody...

Each voice adds a whisper

To the song of humanity.

CHORUS

And I'm singing with the wind

Joining a jammin band.

Got a whole lotta words want to pour out from me...

Maybe they'll be heard again.

I'm singing with the wind,

Bringing along a band

Open up the possible...

... and it's done again.
