WHALE SONG
WHALE SONG
Karen Lewis
Big, grooved, and black,
They come from the north
Twelve thousand humpacks
Are seen from these [hores
To the tropical playground
And whale nursery
They come for the winter to Hawa-eeeee!
Ooooo, Eeeeeee
Is this the yodel of the sea?
Or are they just singing, "We are free."?
Snorkelers don't see them,
But do not despair.
We listen to choirs of whale song out there.
With head under water
And fins in the air,
Come hear the whales in Hawa-eeee!
Ooooo,
Eeeeeee
Is this the yodel of the sea?
Or are they just singing,"We are free."?
What's there to sing about
Under the sea?
The planktonic krill, such a delicacy!
Or maybe they sing to their sweethearts to be.
"Come swim with me in Hawa-eeee!"
Ooooo,
Eeeeeee
Is this the yodel of the sea?
Or are they just singing to be free.
